Questions Asked and Why
What age are you?: We asked this to get a general idea of the person who we asked. By knowing their ask we can understand what they do in life like school and also what some of their thoughts we will already. Also we know by their age what type of people will come and watch the film and we will know the size of the age group we are speaking to. For example we asked this question to mainly teenagers so we can see that teenagers are interested in horror films.
What type of horror genre should be used in our title sequence?: This gives us and idea of what genre people want to see in a horror. Even though we may have already picked what we wanted to do we can add features that may be able to link with different genres. This is because although we are using supernatural because of the possessed patient we can also have her killing people which could relate to a slasher if a weapon is used sometimes.
What horror aspect do you find the most scary?: We wanted to see what horror aspects that people found the most scary and if we could link it in with our opening title sequence. For example one of the ideas was jump scares and although we did not use any we did take it in to consideration and film some.
Do you prefer realistic or supernatural horror?: We wanted to see what people preferred out of realistic and supernatural. Most of our group asked preferred supernatural which was good as this was our idea. They might want the horror to stay in the movies rather than be realistic and haunt them is the real world.
Do you like it when the villain is unseen or obscure?: Most of the people liked it when the villain was unseen but we added parts of both. We made it so that theories in the film went wrong and we wanted to show the viewer that the villain was a girl. Although we showed them this we didn't show must of her face so that it would still be a mystery in the film.
What is your favorite horror creature?: We used horror creature question because we wanted to see what people preferred. Most people were stuck finding an answer which proved that they did not expect horror creatures. When we added the option of a possession after the filming they all said that they would prefer this over any creature.
Do you like horror that is effect globally or in small areas?: We found that many people liked horror that was effected locally. This is because it may make them feel safer as it is not near them. Another reason could be that then they are able to learn the area and get attached with the people that live there.
What music do you prefer in horrors tense, non-tense or spooky?: The music we chose just to see if we should add a good soundtrack. Everyone we asked wanted music and most people though that tense music would be the best. This is good for us as we can now use the music to create tense within the scene.

What would we change next time
If we had to repeat the question we would have reworded how some of the questions were. We would have also made people explain their answer like Oli did as we found this to be most beneficial as we could see why he preferred that certain option. This could have helped developed our understanding of what people like in horrors. In the last question we should have given examples of music and played it to the person taking the questionnaire as they may not have understood what the different types of music could have included. We could have also varied the people we asked as they were mostly the same age and we had two males where the supernatural sub genre is more liked by the female gender. We should have also asked different ethnic groups what they though of the film as we want a large variety of people to want to watch the film.
