(Evaluation Question 4)
Who would be the Audience for our Media Product?
We Crimson Webb Films appreciate the individuals who helped us, solidify and answer are evaluation question 4. As this question has been asked by many of our clients. So we decided to take the hint and ask ourselves.
We tried to get a varied age range and asked them specific questions, about our media title sequence, 'Patient Purgatory'. We asked them what they personally thought about the title sequence, which we used to the word film during questioning. The majority liked the concept and praised both the setting and the shots of the sequence but also the actors Jon Mann and Brandon Hibberd who played retrospectively; The Doctor at the Mental Asylum remembered mainly for his dedication to his work and lack of social skills with Agent Lynch.
Agent Lynch, who was investigating the facility is seen as combat worthy, confident and had an heir of mystery about him. Ella-Mae Webb was also praised highly, who was the actress in our title sequence playing the mental patient. Many said on the lines of that this was an unexpecting feature to the tile sequence as someone who would normally be considered 'weak' stereotypically was able to combat against an Agent, who is trained in combat. Many of our interviewees praised this unexpected twist and many of them said it was different, so different in fact that it would target the audience of teenagers and beyond. Which is what we were expecting.
We learned a lot from this experience as a whole, and we will definitely consider, doing this type of activity again, due to the fact that we were, as shown, able to get a lot of reliable sources of information, to aid us in our evaluation of are media product, being the title sequence, called - 'Patient Purgatory'.
As our main target audience is teenagers to young adults, we believe that asking individuals will not only help the current project of Crimson Webb Films but will also help future endeavours that we will take on- potentially, in the future. As we evaluate, these successful habits will enable us to become a lot more successful at a much quicker pace.
In our audience range, we think that individuals that have a deep interest in the sub-horror genre will like Patient Purgatory a lot more than individuals in our target audience who prefer sub-genres in horror, such as the 'slasher' sub-genre. However, we are aware that these are only statistics from our collective group, and perhaps it is not the most reliable source. We say this to remind ourselves not to get carried away with the audience statistics, as this is not professional; as we need to show our target audience that we are a good company to invest their time in watching our products.
